Does My Social Mashup offer special packages for non–profits & agency’s?

Yes! My Social Mashup loves non-profits & agency's. Please contact us, as a quick call or email will help us understand which package fits your needs.

My Social Mashup includes a custom website, do you offer website development services?

The My Social Mashup application was designed to allow people of all skill levels to design and build their own website.  However, we are realists and understand that some people would rather someone else do it.  For a low fee, we would build you a solid website.  Contact us for a custom quote.   Typical price range is a one-time fee of $50 to $250.

How can I use a domain address/website name I already have?

You can use an existing or purchase a new domain name/website address and forward that address to your My Social Mashup URL. Here's how >> Click Here

 

Do you offer tips for using the platform and social media in general?

Yes!  We have a Tips page that we will continue to update as new social media platforms pop up and new terms and arise in the industry.

Do you offer a Glossary with common terms and words?

Yes!  We have a Social Media Glossary with words to know.

What browsers does My Social Mashup work on?

All of the important ones!  Browsers supported: Internet Explorer 8 and above, Firefox 3.6, Chrome 12 above and Safari 5.1 and above.

Does My Social Mashup have a mobile app?

Not at this time.  We are working on building it though.  In the meantime, you can still use My Social Mashup from a mobile device.  For iPhone’s and iPad’s you can use Safari and go to your admin URL, once there save it to your home screen.  This will create an icon for convenience.  We will keep you posted in the mobile app.

Who owns and maintains My Social Mashup?

Social MarCom is the owner, creator and operator of My Social Mashup.  Social MarCom (http://www.socialmarcom.com) is a Social Media Marketing and Communications firm focused on providing valuable and educational information on how to use Social Media to enhance your brand and grow your business.  Social MarCom also offers consulting services.

Do you offer customer support?

Yes.  We have created the application to be a do-it-yourself.  We have also spent a lot of time creating Video Tutorials covering all areas of the platform.  All that said, people still like to deal with people and we get it.  Please email us – support(at)mysocialmashup(dot)com or call us +1-864-9MarCom and leave a message.  Our Service Agreement is to get back to you within 24 hours.  This is how we can keep the prices so low!

Can I cancel at anytime?

Yes!  As much as we would not like for you to leave, we understand stuff happens.  You can cancel your subscription through your Admin section.  Go to My Profile > Account Details and enter cancelation request.

Is my data secure in My Social Mashup?

Yes!  And we appreciate and understand your concern.  My Social Mashup takes this very serious.  We’ve implemented technology and a process that keeps your data secure.  Your credit card information is encrypted with Secure Socket Layers (SSL), and is never stored on our servers.  When you synch up your My Social Mashup account with your Social Accounts, Blogs and Media Sharing, you enter your information directly on those website, we act as a conduit and do not store your user ID’s or passwords.  We would never share your personal information with a 3rd, without asking permission first.  See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Can I add a link to my posts?

Yes!  In fact there are two way to do it.  If you want to enter a marquee URL, just enter it into the text field.  For example - www.SocialMarCom.com.  If you are entering in a long URL you can type or paste it into the Add Link, this will automatically shorten your link. For example it will look like this -  http://goo.gl/hhcMD

This is helpful for 2 reasons, 1). Keeps your character count low if posting to Twitter.  2). Much more ascetically pleasing.

What Document formats can be uploaded into the My Social Mashup application?

My Social Mashup has chosen to integrate with Slideshare, the leader in document sharing. You the user can upload .pdf, .ppt, .pps, .pptx, .ppsx, .pot, .potx, .odp, .key, .zip, .doc, .docx, .rtf, .odt, .ods, .txt and .csv formats.

If you have a Slideshare account you can synch up your My Social Mashup account to post directly. If you don't have a Slideshare account, we encourage you to sign up for one, it's FREE.  However, you can still post documents and they will be posted to the My Social Mashup Slideshare account.

What Video formats can be uploaded to the My Social Mashup application?

My Social Mashup has chosen to integrate with YouTube, the leader in Video sharing. You the user can upload .wmv, .avi, .flv, .mov, .mpegps, .mpeg4 and .3gpp formats. If you have a YouTube account you can synch up your My Social Mashup account to post directly. If you don't have a YouTube account, we encourage you to sign up for one, it's FREE.  However, you can still post videos and they will be posted to the My Social Mashup YouTube account.

What Image/Picture formats can be uploaded to the My Social Mashup application?

My Social Mashup has chosen to integrate with Flickr, the leader in picture and image sharing. You the user can upload .tiff, .gif, .jpeg, .png and .bmp formats.

If you have a Flickr account you can synch up your My Social Mashup account to post directly. If you don't have a Flickr account, we encourage you to sign up for one, it's FREE.  However, you can still post images and pictures and they will be posted to the My Social Mashup Flickr account.

What accounts does My Social Mashup integrate with?

My Social Mashup currently synchs up with the following FREE accounts:

  • Social networking accounts: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & Foursquare
  • Blogs: Wordpress.com, Tumblr & Blogger
  • Media sharing**: Video: Youtube, Pictures: Flickr & Presentations: Slideshare
    **For media sharing, if you do not have an account with Youtube, Flickr or Slideshare you can still post content in this format, however the media will be stored on the My Social Mashup account.

Why do I have to choose a URL when signing up with My Social Mashup?

You choose a custom URL, which is a prefix - customname.socialmashup.me or customname.socialmashup.co. This URL is your public website and also the address for your custom admin section. You could forward a domain you already own which will act as a vanity URL. See Vanity URL FAQ.

Does the My Social Mashup team ever say NO?

We say NO to SOPA!

What is the best way to maximize the My Social Mashup application?

Great question!  We have a philosophy of; Not making the audience find you and dictate how they are kept in the loop, but ensure your message is finding your clients and potential clients, followers, and friends regardless of their social media platform preference.

What this means is get your message out to to masses by leveraging the various Social Media Networks that exist. Create accounts with all of the Blogs, Social Networks and Media Sharing sites that My Social Mashup integrates with and push your content over your own custom distribution network!

My Social Mashup also comes with a custom website.  If you already have a website, great!  Create a button/tab on your website and name it "Social Mashup" and point it to your custom domain.  Another suggestion is naming the button/tab "Press Room".  If you do not have a website, great!  You can create a full blown custom website, with logos and banners, custom pages, upload videos and add keywords for Search Engine Optimization.
