Upload : This is how you get your content onto the Slideshare platform.  You click upload and then search your desktop or other files for what you would like to share.

Upload + : Allows for you to upload large files and select Private sharing.

Conversion : There is a conversation process which takes place from the time you upload your document until it is displayed on the Slideshare platform.  This can vary depending on file size and your internet connection speed.

Tags : With every document you upload you can create keyword tags so your document can be searchable by users and the Search Engines.

Share : This is an important feature for the user.  Instead of just having a hyper link on your website or blog to a PDF or Powerpoint, you can upload onto Slideshare and click on share icon.  This will provide you a code you can cut and paste in the HTML section of a webpage and have your presentation embedded into you website.  Making it very good looking and easy for your website vistors to view.

Slideshare allows document and video uploads, however we recommend using Slideshare for uploading documents such as Powerpoint, Word, PDF, etc..  Use YouTube for Videos as users are already comfortable with seeing videos on YouTube.
